National Workshop of S4HL Country Coalition

ALRD organized a national workshop with the Country Coalition to build a three-year country strategy to advocate for Women’s Equal Stake in the Soil towards Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE). 

The objectives of the workshop are to:

• To share and learn the findings from background analysis report on securing women’s land and agricultural rights.
• Identify Women’s Land Rights (WLR) priorities based on the background analysis report; and
• Develop a three years National strategy and actions of the Country Coalition.

Participants: Coalition members include land focused NGOs both at the local and national level, NES/BLRN members and partners, journalists, activists, lawyers, Women Journalist Association, Indigenous People’s organizations, women-headed organizations, etc. participated in the national workshop. A total of 42 participants (20 women, 21 men, and 1 transgender) attended the workshop.

Eminent women rights activist and chairperson of AlRD Ms. Khusi Kabir was the chief guest in the national workshop while Mr. Abu Sayeed Khan, Editor, the Daily Samakal and Ms. Nasimun Ara Haque Minu-President of Nari Sangbadik Kendra were the special guest of honor.
