On the occasion of International Rural Women's Day-2025, with the theme 'Rights, Equality and Empowerment of All Women and Girls', a roundtable discussion titled 'Women's Rights to Land, Agriculture and All Natural Resources and Property: What the Government and Civil Society Need to Do' was organized by Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) and Stand for Land Campaign (S4HL) Bangladesh at CIRDAP Auditorium of in Dhaka on November 1, 2025. The panelists present in the discussion were Shirin Parveen Haque, Head of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission, Dr. Fawzia Moslem, President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, eminent journalist and poet Sohrab Hasan, Member of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission Ferdousi Sultana, General Secretary and Coordinator of Bangladesh Indigenous Women's Network Falguni Tripura, and Executive Director of ALRD Shamsul Huda. The event was presided over by prominent human rights activist Khushi Kabir, Country Lead, Stand for Her Land (SHL) Campaign, Bangladesh; Coordinator, Ngara Kari and Chairperson, ALRD. The keynote address was presented by Rowshan Jahan Moni, Deputy Executive Director, ALRD and Focal Person of Stand for Her Land (SHL) Campaign, Bangladesh.
