National Conference 2025

ALRD, BELA, and Water Rights Forum jointly organized 2 day long National Conference titled “Protection of rivers, forests, hills, agricultural land, environment and natural resources” held from 13-14 December 2025 at Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Bhavan, Agargaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The conference formally started with an inaugural session started at 13 December 2025. Honorable Justice Ainunnahar Siddique attended as chief guest, with Agriculture Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian as special guest. The inaugural session was chaired by ALRD Executive Director Shamsul Huda, while BELA Chief Executive Advocate Taslima Islam delivered the welcome speech. Rights activists, farmers, and community representatives from across the country participated. A total of 4 sessions organized in the 2 days conference that produced number of recommendations which will be effective for the protection of rivers, forests, hills, agricultural land, environment and natural resource of Bangladesh.
